Having been a girl raised in Tanzania, I was always surrounded by very strong African women who were the very structure of culture and society. On a daily basis, I noticed the lack of equilibrium in power as well as workload and responsibilities between men and women. I noticed later on in life that this was also the case in the world. I wanted to paint the real power of women which is internal, astute, and ceaseless.
